Sunfire Unveils New Atmos Subwoofer for Home Theater (C) 2010 Geeky Gadgets

When it comes to watching movies, I like to have some bass in the room. I want to hear and feel the explosions and you can’t really do that without a nice subwoofer. A company called Sunfire has announced a new subwoofer coming in Q2 that is small, but promises some serious bass.

The woofer is called the Atmos and is only 10 square inches in size. It uses a 6.5-inch woofer inside with a special design to allow 1.5″ of excursion for deeper bass. Sunfire claims that the sub will out perform many of the 10″ and 12″ subs on the market. A sub this small would be easy to hide in the room too.

The big feature of the sub is that it has a huge amount of power crammed inside the little chassis. The thing has a 1400W of power inside that uses lot of tech for good sound. The company isn’t saying what the subwoofer will cost, but it won’t be cheap.
